Northwest Ministry Network, Asia Pacific, and Northern Asia
missionaries have found this time to be invaluable. Transition and
Change seminars are taken before or soon after returning to the States.
During the four-day seminar missionaries learn and apply new coping
skills for dealing with geographical, environmental, and situational
transition and change. They also learn new approaches to transition and
change in life, relationships, and ministry.

Caregiver Training is a comprehensive course based on three
assumptions: God's love heals, God's love builds, and God's love keeps.
The three sections include basic training in being a caregiver, caring
for one another (mentoring), and ministering in times of trauma.

Mentoring in Leadership workshops on personal growth, developing the
leadership potential in others, and equipping for peer or co-
missionary member care. The relational and character issues addressed
are those that are often troublesome in missionary life and ministry.
An annual two-week workshop may be taken for three graduate credits
through Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) Baguio, Philippines .
Abbreviated 3-5 day workshops are presented by invitation in other
areas of Asia Pacific (note: This is not the AGWM new missionary
mentoring program).

MRAP provides helping resources and support to Asia Pacific and
College/Career MK's. CCMK's in the Seattle area may request to be
"adopted' by a local family. Local area Bible studies and fellowship
times are envisioned where possible. A "helps" ministry to assist in
practical areas like learning to drive, finding a job, developing
financial records, and locating a church home is also offered. We seek
to establish and maintain systematic contact with CCMK's throughout the
US and pre-CCMK's on the field to help them begin to prepare for
transition.
